Due to our organisation's growth and expansion, we are currently looking for a Payroll and Finance Officer with NDIS experience to join us in our Dapto office part-time (0.6 FTE).

The Opportunity

As our new Payroll and Finance Officer, you will be responsible for all Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll and End-of-Month functions (EOM). This includes all NDIS-related invoicing and reconciliations.

This is a new role, created to support our growing team part-time, and you will be able to set your own hours - work 3 full days, or spread the hours across 4 or 5 days!

You will report to our Director and work closely alongside our Operations Manager, Rostering Manager, and Human Resources Officer. Our head office team will collaborate with you and provide assistance in all things payroll related, including compliance, reporting, and award legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end payroll processing, including award compliance for our team of approximately 100 staff
  • Full AP and AR, including NDIS-specific invoicing and reconciliation
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure full NDIS compliance
  • EOM reconciliations and financial statements, including GL and BAS preparation
  • Contribute to process improvements and maintain compliance with regulations

You will use your NDIS-based Finance Officer experience to implement and improve processes as needed.

About You

As our Payroll and Finance Officer, you will have strong experience in AP, AR, and EOM within the NDIS. You will be looking for a role where you can grow and develop your career as you play a key role in developing our finance function and processes.

You will be interested in learning about Payroll and eager to take on new opportunities. Your friendly attitude will serve you well when you join our close-knit team.

You will have:

  • A minimum Diploma of accounting or similar qualification in business or commerce
  • Minimum 1+ years full end-to-end AP and AR experience in an NDIS organisation
  • Experience in EOM and GL reconciliation in an NDIS organisation
  • NDIS Worker Screening and PRODA account or willingness to obtain
  • Understanding of relevant legislation including tax and award interpretation
  • High-level communication and time-management skills
  • Experience and understanding of Xero
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality in financial matters
